Nestled in John Dodge, one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Teton County, lies, a property you need to see to believe!
With expansive views of the Tetons and a short drive to Wilson and Teton Village, this property allows for quick access to both world-class skiing and plenty of restaurants and activities. The southern entrance to the Grand Teton National Park is only about 5 miles away, making day trips into one of America’s most prestigious National Parks a literal day in the park. Downtown Jackson is also less than 10 miles away so one can enjoy all the restaurants, bars, and shopping found in and around the town square.
After you turn into the driveway, you will drive past one of the home’s ponds, and immediately notice the charm of this spacious home. Upon entering the front door, the amazing views of Rendezvous Mountain can be seen through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Once you can peel your eyes away from the magnificent views, the unparalleled luxuries of the home will start to take center stage.
The Great Room not only boasts some of the most amazing mountain views imaginable and it also has a large wood-burning fireplace, television, and dining table that can accommodate 10 people. A separate seating area with a television is right off the Great Room for those who would like their privacy since this room is equipped with a pocket door.
The updated kitchen is equipped with a large island with bar seating, a large pantry, and all the amenities needed to cook delicious meals and host fabulous parties. A dining area is attached to the kitchen, as well as a seating area with a comfortable sectional sofa and television, which allows for plenty of people to congregate together for a glass of wine or intimate breakfast.
You will find a set of stairs next to the kitchen before you reach the mud room, which leads you to an entertainment area that leaves little to be desired. This area includes a television large enough for a cinematic experience, along with a sectional sofa, and a mini kitchen area that is particularly great for snacks and beverages. There are also two ‘fort’ areas in which children may find hours of fun building forts or hiding while reading a book.
The 1st floor Master Bedroom includes a King Bed, seating area, luxurious attached bathroom with soaking tub and shower, and a spacious walk-in closet.
The 2nd floor of the main house features 3 bedrooms, all of which have attached full bathrooms. There are 2 King Bedrooms and 1 bedroom with Twins, which could be convertible to a King upon request for a fee.
The home features a 3-car garage to store vehicles, bikes, and other outdoor equipment out of the elements. Two of the garage bays are available, but arrangements can be made for all 3. A ping-pong table is available in the garage for those competitive home tournaments that fuel family stories for years to come. The mud room is located between the garage and the side entrance, where you will also find the expansive laundry area and another half bathroom.
The spacious backyard includes the property’s 2nd pond, a BBQ grill, and magnificent views of the Tetons. An outdoor fire pit lies between the two ponds and is sure to be a crowd-pleaser. A separate heated storage house is off to the side and can be set up as an office, a workout room, or something else that suits your needs. This provides the perfect work-from-home space.
The Guest House is fully equipped with a kitchen, dining area, and living room with a gas fireplace and television. There are 2 bedrooms, one of which is a King, and the other has 2 Twin beds. There is also a back porch where you can relax and take in the scenery.
For those outdoor enthusiasts, the Moose-Wilson bike path is a short distance away and can lead you up to Teton Village or even into downtown Jackson. It’s friendly to cyclists, walkers, and runners and wildlife sightings are quite common.
PLEASE NOTE: Moose-Wilson Road will be closed between the southern Granite Entrance Station of GTNP and the Laurance S. Rockefeller Preserve in the spring of 2022. The road will then open beginning Memorial Day as a through route for the busy summer season, but only from 7 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Monday each week. Then, after Labor Day, the southern stretch of the Moose-Wilson corridor will entirely close again.
