Our large, fully equipped gourmet kitchen has plenty of work space for all the cooks in your group. A large double sink, a separate prep sink, a six burner gas stove and double convection oven are laid out with plenty of space to coordinate a scrumptious feast. Dishwashers in the kitchen, downstairs bar and outside kitchen assure that even the biggest of celebration clean up easily. Even hand-washing dishes is enjoyable as you look out over the towering peak of Mount Crested Butte. Unfortunately, with a counter bar overlooking the action, we haven’t come up with a way to keep that crowd of talkers and gawkers out of the kitchen!
There are more seating areas than you can count where you can get away for quiet conversation while the rest of your group socializes; six are spread out over the public areas on the lower three floors alone. The Great Room has 26-foot high wood ceilings, a large elk chandelier, two balconies, floor to ceiling windows and a spectacular river-stone fireplace that rises from the bottom to the top. High quality audio equipment brings you the finest sound. An adjacent glass-walled TV room can be opened for entertaining large groups but also can be closed for 7.1 surround entertainment, without affecting the 270-plus degree views.
Large bedrooms give you space to spread out your gear while tongue-in-groove wood ceilings give a warm and cozy feeling.
The third-floor master bedroom features a tongue-in-groove cathedral ceiling with casablanca fan, views in four directions, a private sitting area and balcony that can be used for sleeping under the stars in the summer. Wake up watching the moon set over Mount Emmons and, in the fall, the Elk migration. The couch doubles as a queen pull-out for those who want to keep young children close at night. The master bath features a Jacuzzi and large double steam shower.
A library and sitting area, two more bedrooms and a second full bath on the third floor overlook the great room and share its great views.
The southeast bed room is perfect for parents, with a king bed, desk area (in case you need to get a quick email out) and spectacular views of the ski mountain and across and down valley. Close by next door is a kid’s room with two bunk bed sets (a full and twin on each) plus a queen futon. These share a large full bath with a double sinks and a huge mirror that mimics the shape of Mount Crested Butte.
In addition to the large kitchen and open dining area, Great Room and TV Room, the main floor has a laundry room, and what is effectively another master suite with a bathroom and indoor hot tub.
The entry-level floor can be used not only for entertainment, but also as a suite for a separate family. It includes a bedroom with a queen bed where you wake up to a view of Mount Crested Butte, a pullout sleeper in the game room and two full baths, the second with a steam and sauna.
