About this home
You’ll find that good things come in small packages at Costa Nova. With just two bedrooms, the villa is perfectly suited to a couples’ retreat or private romantic getaway, but a large deck, panoramic ocean views and location just minutes from Gouverneur Beach let you take full advantage of the St-Barts setting. Tuscan-inspired interiors are a charming, cozy place to relax after a long day of swimming or sunbathing.
Tucked into a lush lot in a gated community, the villa opens to reveal a large pool deck and views stretching across the ocean to the horizon. Enjoy a swim in the pool, a nap in the sun on a sofa on the deck, a soak in the hot tub, a cocktail under an umbrella in a chaise longue and an al-fresco dinner at the covered table. For your convenience, the villa has an outdoor shower, gas barbecue and Internet access; for your enjoyment, there’s satellite television, a DVD player and a selection of board games. Ceiling fans and air-conditioned bedrooms ensure your comfort during your stay.
Like the island of St-Barts itself, the interiors of Costa Nova show a sophisticated European influence. The open-plan living and dining room has one sitting area with slipcovered white sofas, one sitting area with wicker seating and a wrought-iron dining table and chairs with sidewalk-cafe style. A salvaged mirror and vase lend the room a sense of history, and the tile backsplash in the adjacent fully equipped kitchen could have come from a Tuscan farmhouse.
The villa’s two bedrooms are set around the central great room, one on each end, for added privacy. One bedroom has a king bed and the other has two twin beds; both have en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, mosquito nets and ocean views, and open to the pool terrace. Vaulted ceilings, white bedding and dark wood furnishings give the bedrooms a traditional look, while in the bathrooms, bright tilework has a cheery, tropical feel.
From the villa, it’s a 2-minute drive to Gouverneur Beach, about 3.2 km to Saline Beach, Nikki Beach or St Jean Beach, 7.1 km to Marigot Beach and 8.1 km to Petit Cul de Sac Beach. Drive to Gustavia, about 2.9 km away, for shopping and dining, and to Gustaf III Airport, 4.2 km away by car, when it’s time to leave.
