Nestled on a hill overlooking Marigot Bay, the two-bedroom villa boasts panoramic views of lush green hills and vibrant blue bay, as well as chic interiors inspired by Europe, the Caribbean and Asia. Enjoy the ocean breeze from the property’s outdoor living spaces, or head to one of several beaches a short walk or drive away.

The living spaces at Amalia are located on the upper floor, and open to a welcoming veranda that runs the length of the house and has a sitting area with ocean views. Prep dinner in the kitchen and take it outside to the al-fresco dining area, or cook on the gas barbecue. The lower level opens to a sunny pool deck with plenty of chaise longues and daybeds, a cabana with a sitting area and a jetted tub. For enjoyable evenings, the villa has satellite television, Wi-Fi, wine cellar and air-conditioned bedrooms.

Inspired by traditional Caribbean homes, the villa has vaulted ceilings paneled in white beadboard for a fresh, airy look. Modern metal-edged doors frame the ocean views in striking fashion, and an open layout feels comfortable and casual. The living room is brightened by an eclectic, exotic mix of furnishings, from simple white sofas and a natural rug to a weathered chest as a coffee table and an antique wooden secretary. The dining room seats six in plush striped chairs, and the fully equipped kitchen has ocean views along the length of its galley layout.

There is one bedroom in the main house at Amalia and one in a separate bungalow; both have king beds, en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and ocean views. The bedroom in the main house is located on the lower level for privacy and opens to a terrace. The bungalow is set on the pool deck level, so the bedroom opens to the deck.

With seven beaches within a 8.5 km drive from Amalia, you’ll have a wealth of sun and sand at your disposal. It’s a 10-minute walk to Marigot Beach, a less than 1.2 km drive to Lorient Beach, 3.1 km to Petit Cul de Sac Beach and Nikki Beach, just over 3.8 km to St Jean Beach and Saline Beach and just over 7.2 km to Gouverneur Beach. Enjoy shopping and dining in downtown Gustavia, a 6.5 km drive from the villa, and easy access to Gustaf III Airport, a 4.2 km drive.
