About this home
In spite of its name, there’s no suspense at Cliffhanger. The oceanfront villa’s charms are immediately obvious: its gorgeous setting on the shores of Winding Bay, lush landscaping, ample outdoor living areas and open-plan interiors. Whether you’re taking a relaxed Caribbean honeymoon or enjoying a family holiday by the beach, this luxury three-bedroom Bahamas vacation rental provides only the best kind of thrills.
Thanks to its perch above the water, Cliffhanger offers wraparound decks on two levels, in sun and in shade. Sip your morning coffee at the covered outdoor dining area, then stretch out on one of the sun loungers or daybed to listen to the waves or watch sailboats pass in the bay. Back at the villa, rinse off in the outdoor shower before preparing dinner on the barbecue, selecting a vintage from the wine fridge and putting a favorite album on the sound system to enjoy into the evening.
The villa’s bright, airy interiors are both relaxed and sophisticated, with a vaulted ceiling and exposed beams in the great room and decor that pairs traditional silhouettes with modern prints and colorful artwork. A sand-toned sofa, printed settee and wicker lounge chairs make room for everyone in the sitting area, and the classic round table in the formal dining area seats six. There’s even a breakfast bar in the state-of-the-art, fully equipped kitchen for casual meals and snacks.
Three oversized bedrooms are private retreats within this seaside getaway. There are two hotel-worthy bedrooms with king beds that open directly to the terrace; one has an ensuite bathroom and the other shares access to a hall bathroom. The third bedroom is a cozy loft-style room with a queen bed, ensuite bathroom and a bird’s-eye view of the bay.
From Cliffhanger’s location in the Abaco Islands, it’s a 2-minute walk to Winding Bay Beach. When it’s time to leave, make your connection through Marsh Harbour Airport, a 30 km drive from the villa.
